Neoclassical Carved Mahogany Pembroke table, with tightly turned pillars and brass
inlay, New York, c.1820. The true drawer as well as false on the other side are
flanked by panels of brass inlay with original drop finials below (see detail). As
is typical of this form, this table is composed of solid one board Santo Domingo Mahogany,
the leaves are further clover shaped. All is supported on four turned columns on a
base of four finely carved New York style paw feet further embellished with acanthus
