A walnut upholstered armchair in
the Baroque style late 19th Century. This piece was originally purchased by the Wishnut
galleries in New Orleans in 1969 from a noted New Orleans antiques dealer, Elmo
Avet. Mr. Avet had this in his private collection with
other items formerly the property of the politically incorrect--but socially
significant--Madame Norma Wallace, a mid 20th century Crescent city
"entrepreneur." She later operated a well-known restaurant in New Orleans. |
