A Classical Carved Mahogany Dressing Table, Philidelphia, c.1825
A rectangular mirror is supported by Lyre scroll arms above three horizontal drawers and further developed with larger drawers below flanked by opposing columns. The upper case is supported by a well-developed carved column and carved paw feet with acanthus embellishment throughout. Case pieces such as this are generally attributed to the Qurvelle school in Philidelphia.
