ITEM SW01343: A Tiger Maple and Maple Octagonal Candlestand, New England, c.1780

This is a small-scale candlestand with a rarely seen octagonal top and probably from Connecticut, although location is indeterminate. Its unusual tiger maple top makes this a very desirable candlestand. It has an old surface and is completely original with no breaks or alterations, retaining its original metal spider, etc..
