ITEM SW01541: An Outstanding Mahogany Sheraton Carved Card Table with Mounts, Salem, 1810-1815, attributed to Samuel Field McIntire

This is an outstanding Sheraton card table in pristine condition with original mounts. This model is extremely successful and desirable because of the gracious serpentine swing to the front apron, and the superbly executed columns that are fully carved. Here, there is not just one set of columns flanking the canted corners, but a double set with leafage carving just above the reeded leg. The color is a beautiful amber which only time creates. It has an old polished surface.
