The marble is in perfect condition, as is the rest of this clock, a key element of importance to us in selecting any clock in our collection.  The most notable aspect to us is the Henry T. Brown, Providence engraved mark on the dial.  They were an earlier clock retailer, ultimately part of the  Tilden-Thurber company, where our galleries are currently located.  The movement is a French barrel type, the best quality in a commercial timepiece at the time.
