A Walnut Queen Anne Dressing/Side
Table with Shaped Top,
European, c.1760
This very interesting dressing/side
table has a very wonderful shaped top of nicely figured
walnut, see detail. The drawer arrangement makes the
most of its space around a beautifully shaped skirt.
The legs are of an early shaped cabriole form ending
in a slight pad foot. It is a wonderful highly decorative
small casepiece, all of which is in original condition
with no breaks or alterations. There are no veneers;
all of solid walnut and no doubt, is part of why it
has survived so well through the years.
