The Stanley Weiss Collection represents a gathering
of fine museum quality furniture, of both American and continental origin, that is
unmatched in both quality and condition i.e. restorations. Our home base in Rhode Island
has afforded us the opportunity to accumulate many fine antiques directly from local
estates and from local estate auctions. It has been my pleasure for the last 25 Years to
scour New England, and often beyond, for material that is worth owning and
enjoying…it is with great energy and passion that I scrutinize each piece. As a
stalwart antique tracker it is my pleasure to find the finest pieces, without restorations
for the fairest price at which it can be offered to our customer. We have, in essence,
done the haggling and ferreting out of the reasonable prices, and charging only the kind
of number I would be willing to pay, were I the customer. In keeping with the ideals of quality and value, I have found our location qualified to house the collection with the elegant grandeur it demands. The acquisition of the venerable Tilden-Thurber Co., Rhode Island’s "Purveyor of the Best," for the past 200 years produces the perfect home for the collection I had amassed. Through the Tilden-Thurber exhibit galleries, the fruits of many years of rigorous pursuit can be displayed in a capacity that you can enjoy through the Internet. (See our history and location page.) Interestingly, as Tilden-Thurber primarily focused on Estate jewelry, we have continued that tradition.
